Abstract Although the overall number of fires is decreasing, special as buildings become larger, taller, and deeper spills in hazardous materials facilities such petroleum complexes on rise ensuring safety firefighters has a problem. The use teleoperated firefighting robots expected to be solution this It important able operate robot well, recognize environment, make decisions what actions take perform more effectively. This closely related design human machine interface (HMI) for robots, but much research HMI concerned with how present information that needed operation. In addition, young firefighters' (novices’) lack experience Therefore, are required have enables supports environment firefighting. study presents an presentation method based control mode contextual model (COCOM) ensure novices can multifaceted perspectives during reconnaissance attenuation like experienced (experts). effectiveness confirmed by 12 firefighters. As result, confirms designed considering COCOM, it improves score from multiple perspectives. findings will contribute future development robots.
